How to Play
The aim of Karen Karnak is to product a collaborative digital film
You can participate in the follow ways using the navigation bar on the left of the page:
• Login as your username –
• upload files –moving images, sounds or still images (mp3, mpg, jpg, gif, mp4, swf, flv, png)
• Download other Karnak-facet files; download and adapt the files –combine them or add your own content – then upload them for re-edits
• Add to the Kaltura ‘Video Collaboration’ on-line video editing using Youtube video clips; web quality video collaboration.

“We never see her face, but we see what she sees: A point of view shot of her activities, her surroundings; objects of creation –perhaps writing a letter or an entry in a journal. There can be the occasional hand but apart from that she could be anybody – we hear her words and voice, although it may be someone else speaking for her- There is a personal dear-diary atmosphere although, from who’s point of view it may be difficult to tell”

Missive02- (07-07-09)
The simple instructions:
create your story using still images and text
(if you prefer no image just do steps 1 and 3)
Three easy stages:
1) first login:

2) then upload an image: (something under 5mb filesize works verys well

Written words
– Contribute to Karen’s written journal -can be dialogue, descriptions of thoughts or feelings either from Karen’s own voice or an outsider eye.
Spoken Words
– Record a spoken voice using words from Karen Karnak’s written journal or direct channeling.
–upload to site or post to address- cassette/mp3/microcassette/ VHS video /CD/DVD formats are welcome.
Objects
– Send objects to the postal address, these will be distributed /used as props.
Moving Image/still images- Upload these to the site or post them on data DVD
Computer files –can also be sent to the above postal address on data DVD
